Greetings, Beloved,
We are today again pleased to play the word game with you. Our topic is: Choosing by Default.
As you are aware, you have incarnated into a world of free will. Not only have you created a reality which appears to have duality, but you also have blessed yourselves with the ability to choose. However, for many of you, the majority of the “choosing” has not been done on a conscious level. So where does that leave you, Dear One?
If you do not choose consciously, or “on purpose”, a choice by default is then entered. You will note that we have used the term “on purpose”. Think for a moment about the implications of this terminology. If you choose “on purpose”, are you not choosing according to your plan or “purpose” --- and thus are “on” your purpose? Therefore, if you choose “on purpose”, are you not choosing deliberately --- that is to say, specifically picking one outcome, manifestation, result, etc. over another? If that is the case, you might say that you have exercised your gift to choose and thus have eliminated other possibilities by the very act of choosing specifically.
On the other hand, what if you had not made a conscious choice? Is there, then, no choice made at all? Consider the possibility that by the very fact that you have not chosen precisely, that in itself is also a choice. Let us give an example for purposes of demonstration.
Let us say that you desire to purchase a new vehicle. You visit the neighborhood car dealership, meet with a very pleasant salesperson, and after some deliberation, you choose the vehicle that you desire to take home with you. This vehicle is gray, as is every other vehicle on the lot. In fact, everyone that you know owns a gray vehicle. But this particular day, you make a choice to ask if there are any other colors available, as you would really love to have a green vehicle. Upon hearing your question, the salesperson is mildly surprised. It seems that nobody has ever asked that question before. Everyone has heretofore gone through the purchasing process and driven off in a gray vehicle. But now you have appeared and said that you would choose green. After a moment of recovery, the salesperson then leads you through a door to the back of the sales lot. As you walk through the door, you see that there are many, many vehicles parked there, and that they are of various colors and hues. The parking lot appears as a rainbow, and then you spot the green one that you desire. You complete the buying procedure with the salesperson, and you are extremely happy with your purchase.
As you prepare to leave, you turn to the salesperson and ask why all of the cars in the front are gray, and why they did not mention that there were so many other colors available. The salesperson replies that gray is the “default color”, and that most people do not ask for other color options. So, it is assumed that if they do not choose another color, gray must be their choice.
We realize that this is an oversimplification, but for the purpose of dramatization, we feel that it “fills the bill”, as you say. So then, can you not transfer this example to other, more serious and/or important choices, which you face in every moment of your existence? We believe that you can, and, in fact, we would say that if you do not choose, the default choice is automatically chosen – not FOR you, but BY you. The Universe, you see, has no way of knowing that you do not want the default choice unless you consciously choose otherwise. Please note that we are not saying if you do not get what you desire, it is “de fault of de Universe”. J Rather we are lovingly intending to nudge you into realizing, if even for a moment, that you do indeed have choices. Always. There is no “good, bad, right, wrong”. Only choices --- made by you as you create each moment of your reality. What are you choosing? Is it what you really desire? If not, choose again. There is no one else who can choose for you.
We love you and do not wish for you to judge the choices you have made to date. We only wish to remind you that you possess the free will to choose. So we would ask that you will begin to remember to pay attention to your choices, to honor those that you have previously made, and to enjoy the blessing of consciously choosing, from this moment forward, that which is your true desire. We will not say that “practice makes perfect”, as you are already perfect. We will say instead that “practice increases pleasurable perceptions”.
We have enjoyed this “time” with you, as always. We are sending heavenly hugs and kosmic kisses…….until the next time you “choose” to play. You are loved beyond measure and imagination.
