Have you ever heard yourself say a common ordinary, every-day word, and then stopped and said it a couple of times more, thinking “gee, that’s a funny word” ?? Well, that’s what I did this morning with the words ‘within’ and ‘without’. As I stopped to look at them, they appeared momentarily strange or foreign, like I’d never seen them before, and they felt funny on my tongue. I thought, “they sound like they should be opposites” And that’s when my angels gleefully commenced another “lesson”. Please read on…… :-)

Good Morning, Dear One
So, you have begun to play this day with your words “within” and “without”. As you roll them around in the space that is your mind, you begin to dissect, speak the syllables in different cadence and emphasis, and in general, delight with the sudden seeming newness of the words, words which you have used many, many times before. Ah, this is an example of “everything old shall be made new”, is it not? Still, it fills the bill, so to speak, for today’s lesson. So, you are ready – and let us begin. :-)
We ask you now to think the word “within”. What does this conjure up for you? Going within. Seeing within. You are imaging your central corridor, your main hallway, your personal “inner space”. That is good. Let us think of some more examples. If you are standing in the yard and you wish to be in the house, it could be said that you go within. To go within seems to imply that one is outside of something that they wish to be inside of instead.
Please think now of the word “without”. We see that you are now thinking of lack, as in “I am without funds” or “I am without transportation”. Do you not find this interesting, Dear One? Why do you suppose that you are not thinking the “opposite” of those thoughts that you had for the word “within”? You think that it would be logical for their definitions to be mirror images of each other, if you were to solely base it on the fact that the first part of both words is “with”, and the last parts, “in” and “out”, are generally thought to be opposite of each other.
So, let us now take that concept and look at the words again. Are you game? Is this a game? J For this process, we will slightly separate the syllables of the words. Let us start with “within”. If one is “with” you, they are in favor of you, or by you, or for you. So, we can now say “I am with you” which implies that we are together, yes? Now we add “in”. This again implies something internal. So if you are “with” “in”, you are together with something inside: “I am ‘with’ the ‘in’ of this home” or “I am ‘with’ the ‘in’ of my beingness”.
And now, can we not make the same connections for “without”? Again, we are “with”, but this time, we are together with something outside: “I am ‘with’ the ‘out’ of my neighborhood” or “I am ‘with’ the ‘out’ of my beingness”. If we temporarily attach, for the sake of example, a personality to ‘in’ and ‘out’, we might say, “I am with “In” or “I am with “Out” much in the same way that we say, “I am with “Sue” or “I am with “Joe”. Do you see where we are going?
Where do you suppose you got the idea that “without” means “lack”? Continue with this thread of thinking….
In this world of duality, which you have created, you believe that you are separate from Source, or All That Is. So would it not follow that if you are “without”, you are existing or focused on the external world, or the illusion thereof, and that would then imply that you are outside or separate from Source? Would this not be the greatest form of “Lack”?
From the viewpoint or perspective of your “Self”, can you not see both the “in” and the “out”? The “in” is, of course, your center, your sacred space, the Light that You are, the Real McCoy. :-) The “out” is all that you perceive, or think that you see or experience outside of your Self, your physical world. Another way to say it is “I Am “here”…….That is “there”. Appearing separate, yet both “seen” by You, depending on where you place your attention. You are the mid-point. You are the vantage point. You are the Center. You are the spark of the Divine. You and God are One. Yes, we know this is not a New Concept. :-) Rather this is yet another way of reminding you that there is no separation.
Duality is an illusion. It is a very good illusion, it is true, but nonetheless, it is an illusion. It is as the hologram chambers on Star Trek’s ship Enterprise. All experiences appear real, and yet when the switch is thrown, the Light turned on and shined upon it, there is nothing there but a big empty room. Participants can “image” anything they wish to experience. And so it is for you, Dear Friend. Let us board the starship Enterprise – when we “enter” we get the “prize”. We advance down the halls now to the door of the Hologram Chamber. Place your hand on the door, and it opens to you. Step through the threshold, and the door closes behind you. Are you now “within”? :-) Speak the words to command the creation of your experience. What do you wish to see and do, feel, taste, touch, hear? Command it --- “make it so, number One”. :-) Ah, and so it manifests right before your “eyes”. Are you now “without”? :-) You are, in both cases, “With”. If you are in joy with your created world, stay with it awhile and have fun. If, however, you are not liking that which you are seeing and experiencing, shine your Light upon it, and it will dissipate like smoke in a breeze --- at Warp Speed. :-) You will be standing “within” the hologram chamber again, as it waits like a blank canvas for your brush……the brush of the Master that you are. Thus are you ready once more to create another Master Piece.
Therefore, Dear One, we ask you to consider this: You are simultaneously Within and Without, but there is truly no Without, so you are never without. There is no lack in the Universe. This is merely one’s perspective. If you look “outside” and think you see separateness, you imagine that you are without. But the truth is, there is no “outside”.
One more time…….let us say that a little boy is playing in the front yard. He goes into the house through the front door, walks through the house, and then out the back door. That child is now in the back yard, but still in the Yard. If he walks through the back gate, he might think that he is now “outside”, but indeed he is still in the neighborhood. No matter how far he may think he is traveling, he will still be “in” the town, the state, the country, the planet, the solar system, the galaxy, and so on and so on. Ah, but this child, who has traveled to the edge of his galaxy and beyond, now opens his eyes and smiles as he looks around and sees that he has never really left his very own room. This was all an adventure, compliments of the magical imagination. He went with “Out”, but he was always also with “In”. There is no separateness. It is not possible. There is no lack.
Thus, we have completed the circle once again. There is no beginning and no end. We have had another adventure in exploring, and we have enjoyed our magic carpet ride with you this day, Dear One.
And so, we await the next opportunity to journey with you again…….”to boldly go where you have not gone before”…………..and yet, have ever been!
You are deeply Loved.
I Am,
JoyUs :-)
